On God of the Gaps

Atheists are generally loathe of the God of the Gaps argument,
whereby the only explanation for an event or object is an all-
knowing, all-powerful, etc God, for every other possible cause
has been discounted. This might not seem to be proof, but
miracles are as close to proof as theists can possibly offer.
How does one prove an infinity (like God) to finite beings?
It’s a leap, to be sure, just as it is a leap to suppose that
the decimal points of pi (3.14…) continue on into infinity.
The same is true for our proofs of God’s actions and
authenticity.
Another infinity to consider is natural numbers (1,2,3…).
We can tell from the system which governs their ennumeration
that it would continue on for all of time. Maybe it’s the
same with God and Goddess. We infer their attributes by
our experiences with them directly and indirectly, and can
thereby reasonably conclude that they are real and very much
active in this world.
